It's been a banner year for our favorite Winter sport, with record snowfalls across the Western United States.  But all good things must come to an end.  As the ski season began to wind down, my friends and I decided to embark on one final spring ski road trip to make the most of the remaining snow. As we carved our way down the mountain slopes, we couldn't help but feel a little melancholic. In an attempt to stave off the post-snow blues, on the way back we started brainstorming ways to keep the adrenaline flowing long after the snow had melted away. We wanted to find summer sports that would provide the same sense of adventure and excitement that we love so much about skiing and snowboarding.

In this article, I'm excited to share the result of our collective brainstorming and explore several thrilling summer activities that are sure to keep you entertained and energized throughout the warmer months. Whether you're into water sports, high-adrenaline adventures, or urban exploration, there's an activity on this list to suit every thrill-seeker. Invest in a good quality mountain bike, helmet, and other essential gear, and you'll be all set for a summer of thrilling rides.  Best of all, many ski resorts keep their lifts running during the summer, so you can still ride down some of your favorite trails on wheels.

When the snow melts, it's time to swap your snowboard for a surfboard. Catching waves and riding them to the shore is an exhilarating experience that will keep you entertained all summer long. From beginner-friendly spots to big-wave destinations, there's something for everyone. Even if you've never surfed before, there are plenty of surf schools and instructors to help you get started. Don't forget to grab a wetsuit, as the water can be chilly even during summer months.

3. Rock Climbing

If you enjoy challenging yourself physically and mentally, rock climbing is an excellent sport to try. There's nothing quite like the adrenaline rush you get from scaling a cliff face or conquering a challenging bouldering problem.
