No Snow, No Problem: 10 Exciting Summer Sports for Thrill-Seekers

It's been a banner year for our favorite Winter sport, with record snowfalls across the Western United States.  But all good things must come to an end.  As the ski season began to wind down, my friends and I decided to embark on one final spring ski road trip to make the most of the remaining snow. As we carved our way down the mountain slopes, we couldn't help but feel a little melancholic. In an attempt to stave off the post-snow blues, on the way back we started brainstorming ways to keep the adrenaline flowing long after the snow had melted away. We wanted to find summer sports that would provide the same sense of adventure and excitement that we love so much about skiing and snowboarding.

6 Ways to Make Ski Trips Memorable for You and Your Non-Skiing Partner

Planning a ski vacation can be challenging if you're an avid skier or rider and your partner doesn't share the same passion for the slopes. My fiancé tried to get "on board" once with my powder fever.  Her first lesson ended with her yelling alarming obscenities, throwing the rental snowboard, and swearing she'd never do it again. Sadly, she's held firm on that ever since. But that doesn't mean we can't still spend the winter together. Over the years we've found ways to make it work.  Thankfully, many ski resorts cater to both skiing and non-skiing interests, ensuring that everyone has an unforgettable time. In this guide, we've compiled a list of ski resorts that offer a variety of activities and amenities for non-skiers, from spa days to wine tasting tours, scavenger hunts, and more. Let's dive in!

Burton Step On Bindings after 1000 Runs

When I first heard about Burton Step On® bindings a few years ago, I was intrigued by the convenience factor. However, I was also hesitant because I remembered the old step-in binding systems from back in the day. The ones which were just a flat plate and your boots provided all the support.  Anyone who remembers those would justifiably be very hesitant to put their faith in any step-in system. Back then we called them "ankle-breakers," and I can attest to that. My girlfriend at the time actually did break her ankle while using them... twice!  But I'm happy to report that the Burton Step On® system is a vast improvement on those old bindings.

If you're like me, your best friend goes just about everywhere with you.  Including trips to the mountain. Growing up near Tahoe with some of North America's top ski resorts practically in my backyard, I was surrounded by snowboarders and their tales of adventure on the slopes.
